Sacapuntas Copywriting came to be in 2023. I was working in a government communications job and yearning to hit the open road with my laptop. I’ve always been a writer, but I wanted to work for myself.

Then, the West Kelowna wildfire ripped through the town, just on the other side of Lake Okanagan to where I was living. I took it as a sign. Stop waiting around to start doing what you love – because you never know when it can all be burnt to the ground.

The next day, I resigned from my job, grabbed my laptop, and Sacapuntas was born.

I come from a journalism background – I worked for two years at my local paper – and have since worked in government comms in the UK and Canada. Writing is my bread and butter, and over the years I’ve learned how to write for SEO optimisation and how to get a brand’s voice heard above the noise.

I bring attention to detail, a good judgement, and, most importantly, friendly and compassionate service.

In my spare time I like to swim in large bodies of water, snowboard, practice yoga, and read books I can get lost in.
